Meet the founder
With over a decade of experience across recruitment, sales, and leadership, I founded Ascend Recruitment with the desire to build something meaningful. A recruitment partner that values people as much as performance.
My career began in a global agency after being headhunted out of industry, giving me a platform to grow quickly across temporary, contract, and permanent recruitment in the business support space. From there, I moved into a New Zealand-owned agency, where I broadened into HR & Talent, Marketing, Finance, and Volume roles, eventually leading a team of eight and building deep, long-term partnerships with clients across the country.
I later stepped into Digital & Technology recruitment where I worked with a developing team, implemented systems and processes, and strengthened my ability to shape recruitment strategies from the ground up.
After welcoming my baby and having time to reflect, I realised I wanted to bring together everything I had learned the relationship focus, the strategy, the adaptability into something I could grow my own way. Ascend is the result.
I’m passionate about supporting people in their careers, helping organisations hire with confidence, and creating recruitment experiences that feel genuine, collaborative, and grounded in good judgement.
